Finally The Big One!!

Chad killed the biggest deer of his hunting career yesterday. He and Parker were so excited. Chad was even more excited that his whole family was there. Walker, SF and I drove to the camp yesterday afternoon. While I was unloading the car, I heard a gun shot. I said "Lord please let that be Chad killing a huge buck!". About 30 min later, he and Parker pull up on the 4 wheeler, both of then grinning from ear to ear. All 5 of us hop on the 4 wheeler to go see it because it was too big for Chad to lift by himself. I think I can do anything, so I say ok I will help you. We get over to the buck, have Parker hold Walker and I get on the front of the 4 wheeler. With all my might, I can not hold or pull the buck anywhere. Not to mention I am gagging and not believing that I am touching, even with gloves, a dead deer!!! I love to eat deer meat, but I do not want to be a part of or see the process of getting it to the freezer. So, this city girl has come a long way. As we were leaving the camp this morning, I look down there is deer blood on my coat!!! YUCK

The happy hunter and his very heavy buck. He had to go back and use 2 ropes and 2 different tree limbs to hoist the deer onto the 4 wheeler.

Still smiling the next morning

I do not know who was more excited the Daddy or the Son!! Parker said killing this buck was the best part of the whole weekend. My baby is growing up.

Siblings having fun

Parker and Sarah Foster both got backpacks full of camping equipment. They put the backpack on Walker with a belt and some binoculars. He could barely walk, but had the best time because his brother and sister thought it was fun!!

Look at the happy face and arms spread wide for balance.

Parker talking to Jack, our elf on the shelf, telling him that he has been nice today!!

Making reindeer cookies for a cookie swap

Walker making a huge mess. Sarah Foster did tell me about it, but after he had spilled the oatmeal everywhere. He then was eating it off the floor. I know he loves oatmeal, but really!!

Walker......Walking and playing with his sister

Really while we were in Oklahoma he started taking more steps. We got home on Sunday and by Monday he was walking everywhere. His sister still thinks he needs her help. She is such a Mama!!

Tubing in Oklahoma

What a treat. The day after Thanksgiving in downtown Oklahoma City they were having tubing in the park. It was in the middles of the baseball field of the Oklahoma City Redhawks. They had a big slide and a small slide for the little ones. We stood in line and got to slide 4 times in an hour and a half. It was so much fun, and Parker told me this was the best day EVER!!! Oh...how I love the joy on his face. He loves life and everything in it!! I pray he always feels this way. G.G. and Papa went with us for the day and it was so much fun.

Daddy riding in the back and reading a book to Sarah Foster and Parker before we go. Parker spent every night but the last night at G.G.'s house. I think he has her wrapped around his little finger!!

Waiting in line

Still waiting in line

Papa and Walker watching from the stands

Parker asking Sarah Foster if she liked it? The verdict was still out at that point.

Parker's last run

Sarah Foster did not want to go her last time, so I got to go in her place. It really was fun!!

Thanksgiving in Oklahoma

The kids table at Sarah's. Chad had to help Walker a little, but Walker was so excited to be at the table with them. We were really excited about how well the kids played together especially at Easton's house. It is not always fun to share your toys, and my tornadoes can destroy a room in no time!!

Hunting Camp

Parker and Sarah Foster playing in the loft. They stopped for only a few seconds for a photo. They had so much fun. Chad and Parker killed a deer Saturday afternoon. We played outside by the pond and on the porch. Chad was giving Parker shooting lessons with his new B.B. gun. Walker watched mesmerized from the exersaucer. Sarah Foster had fun swinging her babies on the front porch. Funny though this is the only picture I got the whole weekend. It was really nice and relaxing to have our family together in a cozy cabin!!

New Hunting and New Moon

Chad and Parker packing up leaving for the deer camp on a Friday afternoon. Sarah Foster, Walker and I are joining them on Saturday morning. So, Chad's truck is naturally packed with hunting stuff, an exersaucer and a jogging stroller. We got such a kick out of looking in the back of the truck and thinking of how things have changed.

The reason the other two kids and I did not join them until the morning is because I had been waiting 6 months for the New Moon premiere. Ten of us got together before the movie for appetizers and discussion. It was so much fun. We then went and stood inline an hour and fifteen minutes early for a good seat. Surprisingly we were not the oldest people there. Sarah Foster as you see below was up to help celebrate and then played with Miss Ashley while we went to the movie. She thought it was fun to be one of the big girls.

Jennifer and me sporting our Team Cullen T-shirts. Never thought I would say this, but I almost switched teams in the middle of the movie. That will mean NOTHING to some who read this!!!
