Birthdays

For the first time in I do not know how many years my sister and I got to spend our birthdays together, and with two of our oldest and dearest friends. Sarah and I are exactly 2 years and 1 day apart. Growing up we always did our birthdays together, and I do not think either of us loved it every year. Now 35 and 33 years later, I treasured both days and the time we got to spend together. As wives, mothers and adults who live nine hours apart, we get very little adult girl time, so thank you Kim and Sarah P. for an awesome birthday night out. Kim and Sarah P., as we always called her to keep the Sarah's straight, surprised us with a limo for the evening, a cooler full of our favorite drinks and dinner at a fun restaurant in downtown OKC.

Swimming Lessons

A little behind on my blogging because it is September and Sarah Foster took swimming lessons the first week of June!! She took from Hayley Warren again this year, and she swims like a fish. She jumps off the diving board and has made huge gains this year. I love that my children love the water because in the Mississippi heat there is not much else to do.

Sarah Foster's first day of Ballet

I can not believe she is old enough to take ballet. Although, she thinks she is 20. She is in class with 13 little girls. Lots of prayers for the teacher and her assistant.

First Day of Kindergarten

Hanging up his back pack

Sitting at his desk

Wow!!! Where has 5 years gone. It seems like yesterday that we brought you home from the hospital a tiny 7 pounds 13 ounces. We could not be prouder of you on your first day of school. You were ready to go while I have been crying for days. Daddy and I walked you in and you went right to your class like you had been doing it for weeks. After hanging up your back pack and sitting at your desk, I whispered in your ear I love you and to have a great day. Then I had to leave as fast as I could, so you would not see me cry. I sobbed the whole way home. I asked your Daddy what was I going to be like when you go to college??

What I do know is that we love you so much and are proud of the sweet, thoughtful fun little boy you have become. Even though you are at "big school" and in Kindergarten, you will always be my little boy!!!

Brown Family Weekend in Brookhaven

We had our third annual Family Weekend in Brookhaven. Chad is one of 12 grandchildren, and there are 15 great grandchildren and number 16 on the way this year!! We have two weddings this summer, so who knows what is in store for next year!! Paxton was the only great grand not in attendance. It made me a little sad to think that he is too old to want to spend time with his family!!

Chad warming up. This is the third year the guys have done this as well. I think they have a lot of fun getting to make up rules and play in the dark!! Chad was in the lead until the very end then Stewart pulled ahead. Maybe next year!!
