Edward and Bella Continued

A couple of weeks ago we took Edward and Bella to their new home on a pond at Jim and Misty Thompson's home. Parker has loved these ducks and so has our neighbor Allie, and her mama Ginger!! Parker was crying before we took them and said, "lets just go have lunch and then bring them home." It was so traumatic that Ginger, Allie and Mary Elliott went with us!! We get there get the ducks out and Sarah Foster, who is scared of the ducks, runs and gets on top of the picnic table. Edward and Bella are right beside each other the whole time. There are three other ducks on the pond that do not care for their new friends, but since they have each other we feel it will be OK. We convince Parker to leave the ducks and see how they do in the afternoon and we will come back in the evening and check on them. Parker said, "OK Mama then we will bring them home!" So, after dinner Chad said he and Frank would take Parker, Allie and Sarah Foster. I thought about that for almost two seconds because Parker is very fragile about the ducks. I did not think Chad would be very compassionate with him if he was upset, so instead all of Valley Road goes. Well almost at least the Brown's and Montgomery's all went. When we get there Parker and Allie are feeding the ducks, and playing with the Thompson girls. Parker was not sad at all when we left.
Sweet Misty gave us reports for the next three days on how they were doing. Jim had to actually throw them in the water. Really funny considering they are ducks!!

Parker and Allie

On the fourth morning of the ducks being at their new home, I got a text saying that Bella was at the pond by herself. We knew that was not a good sign since Edward and Bella were inseparable. Now Bella is on her own at the pond. I actually took it harder then Parker did. Actually even typing this makes me a little sad. I did not realize that I liked them that much, and I never even touched them!! Everyday Parker would say, "Mama you've got to touch a duck!!" I do not know why he always wanted me to touch one. Anyway, we are sad and miss Edward, but Bella is doing fine on her own. We still go and visit her. I told Chad he could not bring any ducks home next year because my heart could not take it!! They really were sweet easy pets!!
